CO-FOUNDER & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Ezra Anglin is a 10th grade SCAPA Literary Arts Major at Lafayette High School in Lexington, Kentucky. He serves as the Co-founder and Executive Director at BYLP, where he works to engage young people in the electoral process. Outside of BYLP, Ezra serves on Commissioner Robbie Fletcher’s Student Advisory Council, representing the voices of more than 650,000 Kentucky students.

Born and raised in Lexington, Ezra is passionate about empowering young people and creating meaningful change in Kentucky. While he’s still in high school, he’s already thinking big—with the ultimate goal of one day becoming Kentucky's Governor

COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR

Leah Collins is an 11th grade SCAPA Voice Major at Lafayette High School in Lexington, Kentucky and is excited to serve as the Communications Director for BYLP. She is passionate about empowering young people to make their voices heard, and looks forward to using this opportunity to inspire more students across Kentucky to get involved with civic engagement.

She is active in Kentucky Student Y, and is currently Y-Club Chapter President at her school. She is also an Eagle Scout with Scouting America and holds leadership roles in local and regional Order of the Arrow Scout Honor Society leadership councils. She enjoys photography and visual storytelling, and is ready to use those creative skills to share BYLP’s mission with students all across Kentucky.

CO-FOUNDER & HB855 ADVOCACY PARTNER

Ismail is a 10th grader at MSTC Paul Laurence Dunbar High School in Lexington, Kentucky. He brings a lengthy background in leadership & community organizing. Outside of BYLP, Ismail serves on the Kentucky High School Speech League Youth Advisory Board and leads the Kentucky chapter of Youth Civics Network, a national nonprofit focused on civics education.

FUNDRAISING & EVENTS COORDINATOR

Collin McCormick is an 11th grade SCAPA Literary Arts major at Lafayette High School in Lexington, Kentucky. Collin enjoys writing in non-fiction, realistic fiction, and speculative fiction more than anything else. When he’s not writing, you may see him jogging outside, closely watching the news, or playing with his dog in his backyard.

Collin got his start in the organization near its inception after being introduced to Ezra, who shared his passion for youth voices in politics.

CIVICS COURSE LEGISLATION ADVOCACY PARTNER

Harper Blake is a 11th grader at Marion County High School. She served as the 2025-2026 Kentucky Board of Education student non-voting member, where she gained a passion for advocating for better educational opportunities for high school students. It’s with this passion that she hopes to serve students across Kentucky by ensuring they receive an adequate education in civics before being tasked with the civic duty of voting.

Outside of BYLP, Harper plays soccer, works as a lifeguard, and is a member of several school clubs, such as mock trial, academic team, and FBLA, where she serves as her local chapter's president.
